The Southend‑on‑Sea Darby and Joan Organisation is a charity based in the heart of Southend with a long and established history. We are a local charity with nearly 80 years’ experience of caring for the elderly and those living with dementia and associated conditions.
We have a 26 bed care home in Westcliff‑on‑Sea, a residential area close to Chalkwell Park, local shops and main bus routes. At the heart of St Martins is our team of dedicated staff, who have extensive training, skills and knowledge to support our residents to live comfortable, full and happy lives with us.
CQC Overall Rating: Good
The Care Quality Commission carries out regular inspections on care homes to check whether providers are meeting their legal requirements and obligations under the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
These checks look at the overall quality of the service provided, assessing whether the care provision is safe, effective, responsive, well-led and caring and rating the service accordingly.
The CQC’s last inspection rated our service as Good in all areas.
